WAYout needs YOU! Support our 10th birthday

Join us for our 10th birthday, help us for the future.

WAYout is celebrating our 10th birthday in 2018. We want you to join us for this exciting year, help raise our profile, fundraise and celebrate all that has been achieved, and help us look to the future.

WAYout uses media, music and the arts to engage street and disadvantaged youth in West Africa, to share their stories, empower them, provide training and employment, and move them away from street life. In the last 10 years, we’ve achieved some incredible things with very little – from working with over 3,200 street youth, qualifications to over 800, to changing the world’s response to the 2014 Ebola crisis through powerful films shot for the worldwide media – and much more. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, we want to achieve more, and we need your help.

Our patrons include musician Frank Turner, writer Nick Hornby and comedian/activist Mark Thomas, who will be supporting the year’s events.

We need excited, enthusiastic, self-starting people that will help us to grow and achieve our ambitious aspirations this year. Are you that person?

We are looking for volunteers with an interest and passion for the work we do, and a drive to run events (including those with Frank Turner, Mark Thomas and Nick Hornby), marketing/social media and supporter engagement to make 2018 our most successful year yet.

We are looking for volunteers that are able to drive activities forward with minimal handholding. We need:

We also welcome other volunteers with great ideas for what we can do this year – from fundraising events, to anything out of the ordinary, left-of-centre, a bit different – we welcome your ideas and support!
