We have found over 160 homes for street youth.
If you have been coming to WAYout for more than six months and shown yourself willing to engage and learn, you can apply for a grant for a home. This means the annual rent on a basic one room, pan house but having somewhere safe to sleep, a door you can lock and therefore keep a few things and a place to call home is a basic right and makes a huge difference to someone’s ability to learn, change and move forward. Out on the street you risk arrest every night, you cannot save money and your health is at risk of malaria, TB and infections. Many WAYout members also have children to take care of
